Dear Kelly, Here are some notes from our 10 days in Yunnan with Yunnan Exploration 1. Overall is good 1. The food is suitable with our indonesian tongue, considering that indonesian are friendly with chinese food. Although we fill that some restos, the food is a bit too oily. ps: it’s good to have our guide around, becase we have difficulty in discussing the food with the waitress (for example asking for spicy food, asking for spoon, how to cook….is it boiled or stir with oil etc). 2. The hotel overall is great, except of course for the hotel in meili snow (one room, that is my room has no door in the bathroom, so it’s not conviniece when we use toilet etc). Note about hotel in Dongchuan (the Red Earth) ….. it’s a bit old, any maybe because not so many people stay the room is ‘not fresh’…… but still acceptable 2. I think indonesian young traveller like has different “attitude” in enjoying the scene compare to chinese or other nationality. We Loooveeeees to feel the atmosphere, the ambiance, look around, talk with local people etc etc. So no need to RUSH in every spot. I notice that at few...

Dear [Kelly], Here are some notes from our 10-day adventure in Yunnan: Overall Experience: The overall experience was good. Food: The food was suitable for our Indonesian taste, as Indonesians are generally familiar with Chinese cuisine. However, some restaurants had food that was a bit too oily. Having our guide around was helpful for communicating preferences with the waitstaff. Hotels: The hotels were great overall, except for the one in Meili Snow where one room (mine) had no door in the bathroom, making it inconvenient. The hotel in Dongchuan (Red Earth) seemed a bit old and less fresh but still acceptable. Pacing and Enjoyment of Scenes: Indonesian travelers have a different approach to enjoying scenes, valuing the atmosphere, ambiance, and interactions with locals. It's suggested not to rush at every spot, and the guide should take into account the travelers' desire to take their time. Photographs: Indonesian travelers love to take many pictures as part of their sharing culture. It's emphasized that taking time for photography is essential. I will definitely recommend your company to people interested in visiting beautiful Yunnan. Currently, I am recovering from a heavy cold, but after 10 days, I am feeling much better. During the 18-day minority discovery in Yunnan Province, we visited Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Shangrila, Lugu Lake, Meili Snow Mountain, Mekong Grand Canyon, as well as southeast Yunnan, including Stone Forest, Jianshui, Yuanyang Hani Rice Terraces, Dongchuan Red Land, Puzhehei, and Bamei. Feedback of Janice’s Yunnan Classic Tour with Meili Snow Mountain Dear Cindy, Thank you so very much for ALL your help and advice from the very beginning of our planning this trip to your extraordinary help securing another plane ticket for me to return home to New York. You worked hours late Friday night and then again Saturday morning for me. And this was after staying with me until 23:00 the day of our welcome dinner. This was the only major problem I encountered during my trip and it was not the fault of your company. Please share my comments with your supervisor. It’s good having one guide for 12 days because Tom got to know what I like — the last day before my plane departed for Kunming he did a good job of keeping me happily occupied. We visited two shops — one craftsman sold wooden items he made, another sold black pottery. We also walked around a deserted village because an earthquake caused rocks to break the buildings.
