  • Arrive in LUANG PRABANG
    Activities: Arrive in Luang Prabang. Meet your guide & be transferred to your hotel. Free at your leisure
    Upon arrival at Luang Prabang Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our local driver and Laotian guide who will take you to the hotel for check-in.
    Luang Prabang is a must - see destination on your trip to Laos. It is a site surrounded by magnificent mountains with a healthy atmosphere and which has been classified by UNESCO on the list of world cultural heritages for thirty temples and buildings with a maximum of 2 floors. The first impression of tourists of Luang Prabang is the beauty of the landscapes and architecture, combined with the rigors of daily life.

  • LUANG PRABANG
    Activities: Go by car to Khmu village of Ban Long Lao. Trekking through rice paddies, vegetable fields & forest to reach Kuang Si waterfalls. Have lunch on top of the watefalls & visit bear conservation center. Stop at Khmu village of Ban Thapene on your way back Luang Prabang.
    After breakfast, begin your off the beaten track tour in Laos by trekking (3-4h) from Ban Long Laos village to Kuang Si waterfall:
    Your private guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and then drive to the ethnic Khmu village of Ban Long Lao. You will be able to observe the lifestyles of two culturally very different minority groups and see how despite their differences they manage to work together on a day to day basis and even sharing the same school.
    As we continue onwards the trail leads through rice paddy and vegetable fields before reaching the mountainous forest. Afterward, your trekking brings you to one of the many springs which feed Kuang Si waterfalls, a beautiful pool full of sacred fish can be seen here. After descending from the top of the waterfall you will be served a Lao style lunch amongst some beautiful settings!
    You also can visit the bear conservation center which is located nearby and home to many bears which have been rescued from illegal farms. Return to Luang Prabang and stop at a nearby Khmu village of Ban Thapene. Tour ends at your hotel in late afternoon.

    Visit the bear rescued center in Luang Prabang
    Located 30km southwest of Luang Prabang, Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre is only a short walk past the entrance gate to Tat Kuang Si Waterfall. Run by Free the Bears with the help from the Laos Department of Forestry since 2003, this excellent center is home to many wild Moon bears rescued from poachers and illegal wildlife trade where they have an open enclosure to live and play freely with lots of trees and swings. Due to the growing population of rescued bears, there are other bear houses built in the hills near Nahm Dong. When visiting the center, you can observe these lovely animals playing and enjoying their food from a viewing platform and along the wooden paths. The visit will be the best chance for visitors to learn about these adorable bears and other wildlife we need to protect. If you want to support the center, you can buy a T-shirt or make a donation.

    No words can describe the stunning of Kuang Si Waterfalls and the emerald water: you must witness in person, the experience will surely exceeds your expectations!Located outside the city of Luang Prabang, Kuang Si Waterfalls are absolutely breathtaking and definitely worth the visit.     Activities: Drive from Luang Prabang to Oudomxay. take a boat trip along the Mekong River to Pak Ou Caves. Pass villages of Phu Thai, Thai Lu, Hmong, Thai Dam, Lao and Khamu. Stop at waeving villages along the way.
    Today, continue your tour in Laos with sightseeing in Pak Ou cave before long journey to mountainous area:
    After breakfast, we will depart to Oudomxay. On the stop at the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers and take a boat to visit Pak Ou caves. Being one of the most respected holy sites in Lao; Pak Ou Caves have a history dating back thousands of years. Packed with over 4,000 Buddha icons, the caves, a shrine to the river spirit and Lord Buddha, are set in a dramatic limestone cliff at the point where the Mekong joins the Nam Ou River. There are two caves to visit, the lower cave called Tham Ting and the upper cave Tham Theung, both boasting miniature Buddhist figures that are mostly made from wood.
    Then cruising back and continue to heading to Oudomxay, an area inhabited by hill tribe villages who eke a meagre existence from the land. Along the way you will pass villages of Phu Thai, Thai Lu, Hmong, Thai Dam, Lao and Khamu. The people are very friendly and not yet tired of seeing tourists. We stop at weaving villages along the way, where you still see families sitting in the shade weaving on old looms. A long brings you then to Oudomxay, the capital of the Oudomxay Province. Check in your hotel for resting.

    Enjoyable Mekong River boat excursion to Pak Ou Cave
    When in Luang Prabang, it is recommended to take a boat tour through Mekong river and visit Pak Ou caves. The excursion will bring you pleasant time to see the local life along the way where the mountain, blue sky and spectacular scenery are in harmony to take the picture. The climb to the caves will guide you to superb exploration to see hundreds of Buddha sculptures in a dark cave, which is not only an insight into top attraction in Luang Prabang, but the historical stories of the sacred relics protection from bombings during the Secret War as well.

    Activities: Have fun with tuk tuk ride to go to the south of Nam Ha NPA. Trek through the jungle up to the mountain of Nam Ha NPA. Lunch near a waterfall in the forest. Visit Ban Sai Leck (Yao village). Have dinner with local people. Enjoy Yao perfomance of traditional & culture. Get free massage from Yao people. Overnight in a very basic homestay.
    Today is starting for treking tour in jungle forest in Laos:
    Taking a tuk tuk direct to the south of Nam Ha NPA on the road No. 17B Muang Sing-Luang Namtha around 17 km, where higher mountain cover by jungle forest, many different species of birds and elephant habitat. Walk up to the mountain of Nam Ha NPA to see different type of forest as bamboo, wild banana to visit beautiful waterfall. A lunch will be eaten at a waterfall. After lunch leave from the waterfall pass through the old forest, agricultural fields, visit Ban Sai Leck (Yao village) where we get an overnight stay.
    While waiting for dinner, visit the villages walk around and meet the people, learn about their lifestyle, traditional, cultures, architecture…then enjoy your dinner host by local people. After dinner you will receive Yao performance - their traditional and culture. The late you will get free massage which is given traditionally to the guests staying overnight in the village.
    Remarks: The confort at homestay is very simple with toilet outside. The hot water is not available.
    Overnight in Ban Sai Leck (Yao village).

    Nam Ha National Protected Area (NPA) is a vast primarily untouched region of the jungle forest in northwest Laos that is best known for ecotourism with various outdoor tourism initiatives. If you are a trek lover who is looking for a true jungle adventure and off-the-beaten-path trails in Laos, Nam Ha is your perfect place. During your hikes, you will pass through a series of uphills and downhills, discover real nature and wildlife from river valleys to highland peaks, savor local food or go fishing on the Nam Ha River. On the way, you will also visit Khmu villages, experience the village lifestyle, and learn about their traditional culture. If you have more time, an overnight stay in a minority village is recommended as it is the best way to get a wonderful insight into hill tribes’ life as well as support the locals.

    Activities: Countinue trekking through the jungle of Nam Ha NPA, reach local ethnic villages & get close with people around Muang Sing valley. Dinner with Akha host family. Enjoy free massage and Akha perfomance, Overnight in a local house of Akha people.
    Enjoy daily life of Yao in the early morning, after breakfast, continue treking tour in Laos though agriculture field and conservation forest of villages to see different colorful of ethnic groups around Muang Sing Valley. Lunch enroute. You will arrive Ban Pha Yha Luang around 4h00pm where we stay overnight for the second night. While waiting for dinner, visit the villages walk around and meet the people, learn about Akha traditional, Akha architecture. After dinner, you will receive Akha performance their culture & a massage which is traditionally given to the guests staying overnight in the village.

    Activities: Learn Akha people's lifestyle seeing their daily activities. Walk to visit different villages as Akha, Tai Lue & Lolo. Come back Muang Sing by tuk tuk.
    In the early morning you will see Akha lifestyle such as: cooking, feeding, looking garden, get water…After breakfast, walk to visit other minority groups in different villages as Akha, Tai Lue and Lolo, all local people in the villages they are very friendly. The treking tour will finish when get the Tuk Tuk back to Muang Sing around 4:00 PM.

    After breakfast, visit Muang Sing morning market before driving to Oudomxay through splendid landscape. Stop on the way for photo and local villages visiting. Arrival and check in guesthouse in Muang La.

  • MUANG LA
    Activities: Be transferred along the Nam Phak River, freen rice fields, mountains, local working farms... Trekking to remoted village. Lunch at Ban Phavie village. Head to Houay Kha waterfall & go through the pristine forest. Walk back to the village & drive back to your accommodation.
    After breakfast, drive up along the Nam Phak River and admiring green rice fields, mountains, local people working on their farms, cultivating their lands... Arrive the drop off point where you start your treking tour to remoted village along the small green trail. Lunch at Ban Phavie village. After village tour, continue treking to visit the isolated waterfall Houay Kha and to the pristine forest. Then walk back to village where the vehicle is waiting and transfer you back to guesthouse in Muang La.
    Dinner on your own. Overnight in guesthouse in Muang La. (simple comfort).

  • MUANG LA, TAY TRANG BORDER GATE(DIEN BIEN) or Boten/Mohan boder of China
    After breakfast, your last day tour in Laos starts by tranfer from Muang La to Tay Trang Border Gate where you will cross the border to Vietnam by yourself. On the way, stop to visit local market and walking in Pak Nam Noy village to see Akha people's life.
    Or we can continue the trip to China via Boten/Mohan Border to XishuangBanna of Yunnan Province.
