Kunming-Stone Forest-Kunming-Jinghong
You will set out an emphasize tour today for the significance of the Stone Forest as a must-see attraction in Kunming and Yunnan Province. After breakfast, transfer to visit Galanba(Olive Dam) with an elevation of 530 meters above the sea level, a small town where you will see typical Dai bamboo cabins, Dai ethnic villages, tropical plants and colorful fruits. Visit the Ganlanba Morning Bazaar, here you will see some ethnic people decorated colorful costume in the market.
After lunch, step cross a suspension bridge to visit Menglun Tropical Botanical Garden, which has the riches plant diversity in China.
Jinghong City Tour | Dai People VIllage, Jinuo Ethnic Village, WIld Elephants Vally
After breakfast, transfer back to Jinghong to visit Dry Dai people Village on the way back as well as the Jinuo Ethnic village.
In the afternoon, visit the Wild Elephants Valley which covers an area of 369 hectares by the Sancha River in Mengyang Town, and is situated 47 kilometers north of the city of Jinghong. With hills rolling gently at an altitude ranging between 747 and 1055 metres, the valley is covered by tropical rain forests, crisscrossed by rivers and streams, and teeming with such endangered species as Asian wild elephants, wild oxen, green peacocks and monkeys. In the Wild Elephants Valley, the first passenger cable way with 2,063 meters of length in the equatorial forest sends the tourists to the main scenic spot in which the wild elephants live.
After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you will transfer back to Jinghong, stopping along the way to visit the Dry Dai people Village and the Jinuo Ethnic Village. In the afternoon, your adventure continues as you explore the Wild Elephants Valley, a vast area filled with tropical rainforests, rivers, and streams. This area is home to endangered species such as Asian wild elephants, wild oxen, green peacocks, and monkeys. Begin your day by catching a morning flight to Dali, a city renowned for its historical significance and rich Bai ethnic culture. Upon arrival, embark on a scenic cruise on Erhai Lake aboard a small boat to reach Jinsuo Islet, home to around 200 Bai ethnic families. Admire the picturesque surroundings, with views of the green Cangshan Mountain, the Three Pagodas, and numerous birds and seagulls soaring above the lake.
Following the cruise, wander through the charming streets of Dali Ancient Town, exploring Foreigner Street and immersing yourself in the local atmosphere. In the morning,your explore journey will start from the Three Pagodas in Chongsheng Monastery, an ancient site with a history of over 1,800 years. Situated at the base of Cangshan Mountain and overlooking Erhai Lake, the Three Pagodas are comprised of three distinct, historic pagodas that form a symmetrical triangle. Before departing for Lijiang, take a detour to Xizhou Town to immerse yourself in Bai-style traditional architectural courtyards. Indulge in the aromatic Three-Course Tea and delve into the unique culture of the Bai people. Visit Zhoucheng Village and witness the art of tie-dying in the Bai people's cloth workshop, where you can acquire special souvenirs embellished with the Bai ethnic style.
Embark on a scenic 180-kilometer drive to Lijiang, passing through picturesque farmlands and traditional ethnic villages along the way.
