Paro Arrival and Transfer to Thimphu
Fly to Pro International Airport and spend 1 hour transferring to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan with your tour guide. Visit Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten, Takin Preserve, Tashichhoe Dzong and a local craft bazaar after checking in your hotel.
Thimphu City In-depth Sightseeing Tour

Institute for Zorig Chusum – See local students learning traditional handcrafting skills in this art school.
Coronation Park – Take a stroll in this serene and beautiful park to relax yourself.
The Folk Heritage Museum (Phelchey Toenkhyim) – This museum houses the relics and documents related to the educational history and ancient Bhutanese people’ daily life. A restored three-storey traditional rammed mud and timber house is the highlights in the museum.

Transfer to Punakha Short Sightseeing
Today, you will take a car ride to Punakha from Thimphu. After arrival in Punakha, you will admire the fertility shrine in Chimi Lhakhang and the highest-standard woodworks in the Punakha Dzong.
Drive to Gangtey for Black-Necked Cranes
Today, you will drive to the Gangtey Valley, where the Black-Necked Cranes live. You may meet these lovely animals while taking a stroll in the Valley.
Celebrate the Black-Necked Crane Festival
Black-Necked Crane Festival falls on November 11 in 2023. The celebrations will be held in the Gangtey Monastery. From monks to common people, from children to adults, they will all show their happiness via singing and dancing. The theme of these songs and dances is about praying for good year and environmental protection.
After celebrating the festival with human beings, you will go to the Black-Necked Crane Information Center to observe the cranes with high-power telescope and spotting scopes.
Go to Bumthang from Gangtey via Chum Valley
You will head east to Bumthang today. The sceneries in Bumthang is a little different from the west Bhutan. It is recommended to stop for a rest and sightseeing at the Chum Valley, where you will pass by on the way to Bumthang.
Bumthang Local Religious Culture Tour
Today you will learn about local history and religions in the Jambay Lhakhang and Kuraj Lhakhang first. They both have a history of over 1200 years. Continue your tour to the Burning Lake – Mebartsho, where local people float small butter lamps to makes wishes. Today’s last destination is the Jakar Dzong, a monastery with a history of 450 years.
Transfer to Punakha City from Bumthang
Today, you will take a 7-hour-long car ride from Bumthang to Punakha. It is ok to have several photo stops during the car ride.
Sightseeing in Punakha and Transfer to Paro
Your first activity today is hiking to Khamsum Yuelley Namgel Chorten, which was built in a painting-like Punakha Valley. Local people believe the Chorten can remove negative forces and promote peace, stability and harmony in the changing world.
In the afternoon, you will pay a visit to Wangduephodrang Dzong before driving to Paro to stay overnight.
Taktsang Lhakhang Hike and Farmhouse Visit
Around 2.5 hours’ hiking are needed to reach Taktsang Monastery, the most famous religious relic in Bhutan. It is possible to take a rest at the view terrace, which is located on the half point of the hiking route.
Pay a visit to a local people’s farmhouse to continue your tour. It is incredible that there is not a single nail used to build a farmhouse, which offers a good glimpse into the lifestyle of a farmer.
Departure from Paro
