Dujiangyan Panda Base: Your day begins with a journey to the Dujiangyan Panda Base, where you'll have the privilege of participating in a full-day panda volunteer program from 8:30 to 16:00. Home to more than 40 giant pandas and 5 red pandas, this sanctuary offers a rare chance to get up close and personal with these beloved creatures.
Volunteer Activities: Throughout the day, you'll engage in various activities aimed at caring for and learning about pandas. From cleaning enclosures and preparing food to observing their behaviors and understanding their living conditions, each task offers a unique insight into the world of pandas. You'll also have the opportunity to participate in fun and meaningful activities such as making "Panda's Cake," planting bamboo and trees, and setting up nametags.
Educational Experience: Gain a deeper understanding of pandas through a documentary that highlights scientific facts about these gentle giants and the efforts to protect them. Discover how humans can coexist harmoniously with pandas and contribute to their conservation.
Official Certificate and Souvenirs: At the end of your volunteering experience, you'll receive an official certificate from the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Pandas (CCRCGP) recognizing your dedication and love for giant pandas. Additionally, you'll receive souvenirs such as a panda badge, a panda T-shirt, or a panda club magazine as tokens of appreciation for your contribution.
Transfer Back to Hotel: After a rewarding day of volunteering, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Dujiangyan, where you can reflect on your unforgettable experience with these magnificent creatures.
Important Notes:
Advance Application: To participate as a volunteer, it's necessary to apply at least a week (usually 10 days) in advance with your Application Form and Health Examination Form.
Health Requirements: Volunteers must have a valid Health Examination Form to ensure they are not carrying infectious diseases that could endanger the health of the pandas.
Age & Number Limitations: The center can accommodate up to 50 volunteers aged between 10 and 70 at any given time.
Dress Code: Volunteers are required to wear working suits provided by the panda base and avoid using strong-smelling products to prevent disturbance to the pandas.
