Day by Day Itinerary
Arrive in Yangon
Arrive Yangon. Pick-up and transfer to hotel. Visit Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda to see a huge reclining Buddha image, the Shwedagon Pagoda – one of the world’s most spectacular monuments. Enjoy sunset at Pagoda. Drive back to hotel and leisure.

Yangon – Fly to Putao
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Yangon airport for a domestic flight to Putao. Arrived at Putao airport and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to Putao Guest house. Free and leisure. And then proceed to Mulashidi to enjoy the scenic beauty of the suspension bridge over the creek. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Putao – Upper Shangaung Village – Wasundum
After breakfast, visit the attractive Putao market with its colorful local tribes such as Rawan, Lisu Kachin, etc. Later depart by jeep to upper Shangaung (16 km, approx 1 hour). This village has inhabitants of both Lisu and Rawan tribes. Trek to Wasundum village (19 km, approx 6 hours) through Mt. Shangaung at approx 4600 feet (1400 meters) by the shoulder of Mt. Slimatdin 6000 feet (1830 meters). The first day is a good test for this trek, as we have to ascend to 4600 feet (1400 meters) and then descend back to 3000 feet (914 meters) with a distance of 12 miles. Wasundum is a small Rawan village situated by Namlan creek. Have a picnic lunch on the way and dinner will be served local style.

Wasang Dam – Ziya Village
After breakfast leaves the village for Ziyad. First cross Namro Creek to Awadum village (6.4 km, approx 2 hours). Awad village is mainly inhabited by the Lisu tribe and separated into two by a large paddy field. Here we cross a suspension bridge that span Namlang creek to Kalang (Rawan tribe). On a sunny day, we will find blazing Mt. Phonyin Razi just a hand’s reach away. After a short lunch stop continues to Ziyadum (5.6 km, approx 2 hours) through a deeper evergreen forest. Ziyadum, situated at an altitude of 3440 feet (1050 meters) is the most northwestern and last frontier village in the Putao region, mainly inhabited by the Rawan tribe. There will be plenty of time to settle down once we arrive at Ziyadum. It is recommended to visit Ziya creek for a fantastic sunset view with blazing Snow Mountains in the west which spark in to steady flowing Ziya creek. A pre-dinner cocktail will be served over a bonfire on the deck that overviews Ziya creek.

Ziya – Chaung Sone Village
After breakfast, proceed to Chaung Sone by trekking and hiking (10-mile). Lunch on the way. In the evening, arrive at Chaung Sone. Dinner and free at the leisure.

Chaung Sone – Kautaukmyit
After breakfast, proceed to Kautaukmyit camp by trekking and hiking (7-mile). Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight stay at Kautaukmyit camp.
Kautaukmyit – Base Camp
Breakfast at Kautaukmyit; proceed to the base camp (8 miles). Lunch on the way. After trekking and hiking about 8 miles, stay for one night at the base camp.
Base Camp and environs
Breakfast at the base camp, stroll around the base camp. Lunch at the base camp then trekking to the surroundings of the base camp. Dinner and overnight stay at base camp.
Base Camp – Chaung Sone
Early breakfast at the base camp; come back to Chaung Sone by trekking and hiking (15 miles). Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight stay at Chaung Sone.
Chaung Sone – Khalang
Breakfast at Chaung Sone; proceed to Khalang by trekking and hiking (14 miles). Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight stay at Kalang.
Khalang-Wanglai Dam
Breakfast at Khalang; proceed to Wanglai Dam by trekking (8 miles).Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight stay at Wanglai Dam.
Wanglai – Upper Sangong – Putao
After breakfast, trekking to upper Sangong. Lunch on the way. After trekking from Wanglai Dam to Upper Sangong, drive to Putao by our tour car (22 miles). Dinner at restaurant and overnight stay at hotel in Putao.
Putao – Fly to Yangon
Breakfast at the hotel, stroll in Putao and visit the local morning market. And then check out from the hotel and transfer to Putao Airport for a domestic flight to Yangon.

Yangon Departure
Free until transfer to the airport for the flight back home.
