In the morning, drive for about 3 to 4 hours (200km) until you reach Kampala Pass at 4,797 meters. From this vantage point, you will be treated to a magnificent view of Yamdrok Lake, one of the four largest sacred lakes in Tibet, surrounded by the holy Mt. Nyenchen Khangsar. Enjoy the sight of local Tibetan mastiffs, goats, and yaks, and have the option to take photos with them for a small fee.
In the afternoon, continue your journey for about 1.5 hours (70km) to visit Karola Glacier, one of Tibet's most stunning glaciers.
