    Enter China, and deal with the related entry procedures. Then drive to Mengna and handle the vehicle and driving license process. If time permits, we can visit the nearby local ethnic minority villages and try the local ethnic food for dinner if you are interested.

    Finish the rest procedures. We suggest visiting the Menglun Tropical Botanic Garden which is the best tropic botanic garden in China. We may also visit the Ganlanba Village, the local Dai minority villages.

    It is a driving day, but a beautiful driving day. The roads through mountains, villages, fields, tea gardens etc, up and down. When you drive on this road, you will feel you and your vehicle are dancing among the mountains and fields. About 6-7 hours driving today.

    We drive to Dali in the morning, and visit the Dali ancient city, and beautiful places nearby, the Erhai Lake etc. Then in the afternoon, we drive to Lijiang.

    We visit Shangri-la and the Songzanlin Temple which is named the small Potala Palace. And then visit the beautiful scenery near Deqin, such as see the Mt. Kawa Kapor from far, the Minyong Glacier etc. But if you want to visit Kawa Kapor nearby, it need more time.

    240kms driving to Mangkang through mountain road and the altitude begin to rise up about 700m today. Visit at Mangkang.

    This is a challenging day for all the drivers today. The road is from Bangda to Basu is very slope and many abrupt turns. Very interesting and challenging for drivers.

    90kms driving to Ranwu and whole day visit the nearby rural villages and the Ranwu Lake and the glacier. Ranwu lake is regarded as the heaven far from cities and commercial influence. Very beautiful and a lot of things waiting for you to explore.
